Ayam penyet aka smashed chicken.
It is basically a piece of chicken thigh smashed, basted with herbs and deep fried, then served with fried bean curd and fried tempeh (fermented soya beans), with some vegetable and a healthy dollop of extremely spicy sambal (chilli paste).
This one I ate was tear-inducingly spicy even for my husband and me who can actually eat spicy. Anyway, that was my lunch.
The shop was the one at Wangsa Walk mall and the price? For a meal for 2 people, minus white rice as the both of us skipped it, just RM16.30.. With drinks..
