Mother's birthday 2011 cheer project... help needed

My mother, Elaine is going to be celebrating her 61 year old birthday soon on the 3rd of March 2011, and at the same time she might be going to have another throat surgery soon because of thyroid cancer...

She had already had one operation, 2 years ago, after suffering from thyroid for over 8 years and only after the doctors found the thyroid to be suspected carcinoma. And was doing ok, for a while, while having her radio iodine treatment from time to time, until recently, when the doctor found out that there were new nodes in her throat area and asked her to go for an ultrasound scan which turned up the results.
I am trying to make this birthday special and boost her spirits a little, because she is kind of stressed, feeling down and worried over the upcoming surgery...
Just wondering who can help me send her a postcard wishing her a happy birthday.... It would be a nice surprise for her getting postcards or even birthday cards from all over....
I have a facebook event going on here and also well... open to everyone or anyone who might be interested to help cheer an elderly person up.
