How British Airways dealt with racism.. Kudos

Scene took place on a British Airways flight between Johannesburg and London .
A white woman, about 50 years old, was seated next to a black man. Obviously disturbed by this, she called the air Hostess..
'Madam, what is the matter,' the hostess asked.
'You obviously do not see it then?' she responded. 'You placed me next to a black man.I do not agree to sit next to someone from such a repugnant group.Give me an alternative seat.'
'Be calm please,' the hostess replied.'Almost all the places on this Flight is taken. I will go to see if another place is available.'
The Hostess went a way and then came back a few minutes later.. 'Madam, Just as I thought, there are no other available seats in the economy class. I spoke to the captain and he informed me that there is a seat in the business class. All the same, we still have one place in the first class.'
Before the woman could say anything, the hostess continued: 'It is not Usual for our company to permit someone from the economy class to sit in the first class. However, given the circumstances, the captain feels that it would be scandalous to make someone sit next to someone so disgusting.'
She turned to the black guy, and said, 'Therefore, Sir, if you would like to please collect your hand luggage, a seat awaits you in first class.'
At that moment, the other passengers who were shocked by what they had just witnessed stood up and applauded.

the year of the rabbit -what's in store for you....

The history of the Chinese Zodiac is very interesting. It is said that Buddha invited all of the animals in the world to join him for the New Year celebrations, but only 12 animals bothered to turn up. As a great reward, Buddha named a year after each one of them and they actually run in the order that the animals arrived to celebrate with Buddha, starting with the rat and ending with the last guest, the pig.

The Rabbit represents the fourth year in the 12 year cycle of the Chinese zodiac. Rabbits will likely benefit from luck or good fortune during a Rabbit year — 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999 or 2011. This is great news for yours truly, who was born in 1975! Famous people born in the Year of the Rabbit include Albert Einstein, Frank Sinatra, Pope Benedict XVI, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp and David Beckham.

Characteristics of The Rabbit

Cuddly, warm, mysterious and affectionate are the attributes of the Rabbit. Quietly charismatic, thoughtful and persistent, rabbits are admired for their considerate dealings with all who know them. They are most often depended upon for their wise counsel, or as someone in which to put valued trust in a personal friendship or business dealing. One of the most cautious signs in the Chinese zodiac, they are the chess players who take their sweet time before making a move and are most likely to win any intricate game of strategy. He or she is also one of the luckiest signs in the Chinese Astrology chart.

A great party planner and host, the Rabbit enjoys being the center of attention once in a while. Rabbit personality traits also spill into romantic dealings, and they will not commit to any one person right away. However, once they are settled down in a domestic relationship, no truer or sweeter spouse is likely to be found. In dealings with family and friendships, they can always be counted upon for a sympathetic ear or a gentle hand to hold. Despite their outwardly calm demeanors, rabbits are extremely shrewd in business dealings and may never show their hand until just the right moment. They are also quick to bolt from any perceived danger and intuitively know when to fold — and when to run.

General Predictions for the Year of the Rabbit

The year of the Rabbit is traditionally associated with home and family, artistic pursuits, diplomacy and keeping the peace. Therefore, 2011 is likely to be a relatively calm year in comparison with 2010, both on a global scale and on a personal level. Shrewd and creative new business partnerships will also form to the benefit of all. Those compatible with the Rabbit — the Sheep, Dog and Pig in particular — will also find 2011's circumstances elevating them to greater personal happiness and professional success. Others will suffer, by degree, depending on how flexible they are to the world mood. Those who have cultivated careful negotiation skills may attain similar good luck enjoyed by rabbits and those compatible with them in 2011.

Your Chinese Sign: Rabbit (1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011)

If you are born under the sign of the Rabbit, prepare to have the time of your life. The Rabbits found the momentum they were looking for during 2010, and now see that these accomplishments will set them up beautifully for their own year in 2011. This will be a stunning and most favorable year for the Rabbit, especially in regard to work and career. You will see your ideas being appreciated and will also make a positive impact on someone who is truly special to you. For those in love, this will turn out to be a fabulous time. The months of January and March in particular will bring success and good news. Projects at work will bring in good results and your creativity to the forefront. Towards the end of the year, your priorities may change, and you may focus more on your family and home. December is slated to be an eventful month!

Your Chinese Sign: Dragon (1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012)

Assertive, energetic and talented are all words to describe the Dragon. The Dragon has a tendency to be condescending and tactless without realizing it. The Chinese Year of the Rabbit will be a more balanced and secure year than 2010 for all Dragons. They fully enjoyed the exciting nature of the Tiger year, but now it’s time to take it down a notch or two. Many of them will be more productive with the steadier tempo of 2011. July, September and November will give Dragons a chance to reassess what they’re doing and what direction they want to go in. The opportunity to retrain or take night classes should be considered seriously. The foundations Dragons lay now will greatly enhance their prospects in 2012 - their own year. Romance is beautifully starred with opportunities to meet new people all through the year - particularly during April, June, September and December. On the whole, this will be a positive and happy year for Dragons.

Your Chinese Sign: Snake (1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013)

Intelligent and highly intuitive are two of the Snake’s many fine qualities. Snakes make for amusing and romantic friends, with definite flirtatious streaks. When challenged or criticized, the Snake can be a sore loser. The Snake is also very lucky with money and is fond of an adventurous gamble or two. Snakes like organization and follow their itinerary in an orderly fashion; however, 2010 threw all this out the window. The Chinese Year of the Rabbit will be a much more appealing year to the Snake, and they will feel back on track, albeit still busy. The focus of 2011 for the Snake will be to make sure they are doing what they like to do, allowing expression of creativity and talents. February, March and October will provide windows of opportunities to achieve this within their careers. However, they must put in the effort and make intentions known, or the windows may close again. Financially, things are looking much brighter for the Snake and with planning and saving, this will be an excellent year. Home decorating and refurbishments are highlighted this year, along with time at home with family and friends.

Your Chinese Sign: Horse (1906, 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1964, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014)

The Horse is a considerate and protective friend and partner, and when in his company, there will always be excitement around the next corner. They love parties and crowds and being the centre of attention. They can also be egotistical, hotheaded and impatient. In 2011, the focus for the Horse will be on career, with unexpected developments and opportunities for promotion in the cards. When an opening occurs, the Horse will need to act fast and be alert. April, May, October and November will be encouraging months for moving ahead in work or finding a new job altogether. Health and wellbeing will be on the minds of many Horses in the Chinese Year of the Rabbit; this is the time to rethink fitness routines and diet. Socially, as always, the Horse will be busy, with May to September and December being full of fun with friends. Attached Horses will fare better than single ones in 2011. If a new romance is on the horizon, the Horse would be well advised to relax and let the relationship develop slowly.

Your Chinese Sign: Goat/Sheep (1907, 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015)

Graceful, optimistic, kind and easygoing describe aspects of the Goat's personality. Goats can also be petulant and discontented, likely to throw in the towel at the inception of a problem. The Year of the Rabbit starts off brilliantly for those Goats seeking employment or wanting a career change. Strong networking brings some exciting possibilities. March, April and September are slated for workplace advancements. The past couple of years have been challenging for the Goat, and 2011 will be much more upbeat, positive and happy. There will be many chances over the next year to make new friends and attend social outings, and the support of others will be very important to provide the encouragement the Goat needs. The single Goat will find 2011 an excellent and thrilling year for romance, while those who already have a partner may be thinking of taking it to a more serious level. February, August and September will most likely present opportunities for romantic encounters, but the whole year will bring joyous social occasions.

Your Chinese Sign: Monkey (1908, 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016)

The Monkey is playful, lively, fun and a quick thinker. They get bored very easily and find it hard to settle down with any one thing. They are ambitious and usually very good with money. The Chinese Year of the Rabbit is geared to be an auspicious year for Monkeys to follow up on self-improvement ideas that may have been considered for awhile. A fresh look at fitness routine, diet and downtime could do the Monkey a world of good. 2011 will be the year for the Monkey to move forward, leaving any disappointments and regrets behind. The Monkey will find 2011 plans and goals moving ahead as anticipated. For Monkeys involved in creative work such as writing or art, this will be a particularly inspirational year, and their work will be highly regarded. The Chinese Rabbit Year will offer some brilliant opportunities for promotion, and by being proactive, the Monkey will reap the benefits. For those seeking work, attention to detail will open up windows of opportunity.

Your Chinese Sign: Rooster (1909, 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017)

The Rooster is popular, extravagant, creative and generally likes being showered with attention. Family means the world to Roosters, and they are one of the most loyal signs in the Chinese zodiac. The Year of the Rabbit will be a much quieter year than 2010 for the Rooster. They will have to curb their natural exuberance just a bit and practice some patience and common sense. On the work front, it will be vital for the Rooster to work closely with his colleagues and practice networking skills. All the work done on the career front will pay dividends in 2012, the Chinese Year of the Dragon. On the social and romantic side of life, this will be a much more settled and quiet year, which will be to many a Rooster’s liking. March, July and August look to be the most active on the social scene. Financially, the Rooster may have a few home-related expenses this year with repairs, decorating and renovations. It would be wise to manage any projects sensibly and shop around for the best deal; Chinese Rabbit years can be expensive for all signs.

Your Chinese Sign: Dog (1910, 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018)

The Dog is a wonderfully hard worker, a perfectionist and someone who loves the small details. They are also a bit anti-social, pessimistic and stubborn. They are one of the most trustworthy signs of the Chinese zodiac and will always go to bat for a worthy cause. The main emphasis during the Year of the Rabbit will be on their personal life. If attached, Dogs will find their relationships grow and become much more meaningful on all levels. Single Dogs will be particularly lucky in finding someone very special. All social occasions will carry the possibility of meeting someone new, with April, June, August and December being the busiest months on their social calendars. In the Year of the Rabbit, the Dogs must guard against lost, delayed or incorrect documentation. Make sure that everything is as it should be on all paperwork. If the Dog can leave the past couple of challenging years behind, 2011 will be a most gratifying year.

Your Chinese Sign: Pigs (1911, 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019)

The Pig is an innocent, sweet and lovable personality. They can also be quite melancholy and over-sensitive. The Pig loves the company of others, and adores parties, gossip and chitchat. They are highly intelligent, but prefer to keep this side of their nature under wraps. The Pig loves to have fun and socialize with family and friends, and on this front, the Year of the Rabbit will not disappoint him! He may not have been the life of the party recently, but in 2011, his social network will greatly increase, with April, May, July and October being the most enjoyable months. The Pig parties hard and works hard, and in the Year of the Rabbit he will be bringing in the rewards for all his hard work. For any Pigs who wish to change jobs or who want to climb up the corporate ladder, there will be quite a few opportunities this year to do either. March, April and September will see work developments happen, but Pigs must be ready to pounce at any time during the year. The Pig will be feeling good in 2011 and would like all manner of wonderful things to happen. He must learn to pace himself and go along with the more leisurely speed of the Rabbit year. Otherwise, he may burn himself out. Overall, 2011 will be a progressive and enjoyable time for all Pigs.

Your Chinese Sign: Rat (1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020)

Rats are charming, elegant and clever. Family and close friends are exceptionally important to them. The Rat will be happy to see the end of 2010, the Year of the Tiger. There were a lot of changes and the pace was fast — not something the Rat is entirely comfortable with. The Chinese Year of the Rabbit will be slow and steady, so the Rat must try to be patient throughout 2011. Work will again be highlighted but this time the Rat’s experience and knowledge will be called upon, helping him or her advance quite nicely in his career.

Your Chinese Sign: Ox (1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021)

Affectionate and easy-going, the Ox is also a no-nonsense sign and can show a fierce temper when agitated. They tend to be neat, quiet and studious, making for a wonderfully loyal friend. Family life and a loving partner are often high on the Ox’s priority list. 2010 was full of whirlwind moments and sudden challenges for Oxen, forcing them to adjust thinking and decision making skills. Romance is highlighted this year, and Oxen may find themselves in exactly the right place at the right time to meet someone very special. For those in a relationship, this will strengthen and grow. The Ox should take time to ensure their diet is healthy, with rest and relaxation being vital for all Oxen during the Year of the Rabbit.

Your Chinese Sign: Tiger (1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022)

When the Tiger does anything, it gets noticed. However, indecisiveness and stubbornness can get in the way of the Tiger's exuberant personality. It’s sometimes hard to know where one stands with the Tiger. Flexible, honest and truly entertaining, one has a friend for life with a Tiger. Most Tigers will be feeling energized at the end of their own year in 2010, and the Year of the Rabbit will be another positive one. Romantic matters are on the forefront, with many born under this sign deciding to get married or to take the relationship to the next level. Financially, the Tiger will most likely see an increase in income due to a raise or an unexpected windfall. Hobbies and outdoor pursuits will also interest the Tiger this year, providing both relaxation and a social setting.

The personality of rabbit people

credit: commons.wikimedia-User:Jedudedek-old_gallery_IIIIn Chinese mythology the rabbit is the emblem of longevity. People born in the year of the rabbit are believed to personify the personality traits of that animal.

I have gathered together a number of the words commonly used to describe many traits associated with rabbit people:

calm, reserved, sensitive, compassionate, creative, good mannered, strong willed, possesses an aversion to confrontation, self controlled, discrete, peaceful, understanding, precise, sociable, over cautious, occasionally moody, occasionally temperamental, comfort loving.

The personality of rabbit people is also affected by the element assigned to their year of birth...

-Wood would be more moral and ethical, cooperative, progressive, generous, compassionate,
-Fire would be more enthusiastic, passionate and outspoken, emotional, restless
-Earth would be more sensible and prudent. wise, serene, logical, disciplined, grounded
-Metal would be more ambitious, determined, unyielding, persevering, constant
-Water would be more creative and imaginative, alluring, aware, persuasive,

How accurately does this describe you or someone you know was born in a Year of the Rabbit?...

For the love of labels

When I was in my twenties, I was mad over labels. I remember going 'crazy' over labels such as TopShop, Guess, Miss Selfridge, FCUK, and a few other labels.
The desperation was there that I really had to own something, anything as long as it was so called 'branded'. I could or would be spending almosy an hour in a boutique, searching for something or anything that I like, which had to suit my pathetic budget and which must have that brand label on it.
I of course often ended up with junk, that after a while, I find I just had no use for.
Then I would be trawling Chinatown or Batu Ferringhi night market in search for knock offs, usually knock offs of higher end brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci and so on, but then a couple of weeks or so, I would be disappointed by the quality as knock offs often have their flaws and many are not really 'lasting'. Sooner or later, the zipper would get stuck, the button would drop off or something.
Then I learnt to be more thrifty and smart. There was the era of 2nd hand clothings, which in Malaysia was called 'Bundle' clothings. It was a treasure hunter's delight. I could indulge in buying a variety of brand for very affordable prices. I got lots of great stuff there, but I also learn never to buy shoes or bags from 'Bundle' . Just clothings. I can get a pretty nice 2nd hand shirt from Ralph Lauren or Banana Republic or even Liz Claiborne for between RM10 to RM20. Of course, you have to take the trouble to search for it as it's kind of hard sometimes to find something you would like, that suits you and that can also fit you. Before 'Bundle' I used to check out charity shops overseas like Oxfam, Salvation Army and so on. I also adore checking out flea markets and also jumble sales, especially when the socialites are donating their clothings and such for charity sales. I once got away with a lovely Aigner shirt and also a pretty Stuart Weitzman clutch for less then RM100 (for both) whereas in reality they costed an arm and a leg (at least they do for people like me).
Don't get me wrong, I do still splurge a little here and there for nice brands like Padini, M&S, Raoul, GAP, Guess, Jaspal and so on at times.
For my handbags and shoes, I've learned from my husband to get good quality leather goods from Clarks or such. Or just go for trustworthy Bata shoes (my favourites) and tasteful and nice 100% leather bags (could or does not have to be branded) that I can use anywhere and anytime.
So you see, I guess I learned the hard way, but with age, have gotten smarter with my purchases. I love what I get nowadays, and they are usually classic pieces that are evergreen for me, whether 2nd hand or brand new and I am not such a fashion victim nowadays, and it kinda half amuses me and also I do feel sorry when I see someone who is a fashion victim.

My "baby" girl is unwell..

She started having fever yesterday evening. My husband and I, we gave her some panadol syrup for her before tucking her in to bed.
Early in the morning, at 4am, I awoke to feel her forehead to gauge her temperature and it was hot. I guess 38 or 39 degrees. So I sponged her down and put on the sticky gel plaster on her forehead (designed to bring down a fever) and got her to eat some omelet and more panadol syrup and coaxed her to drink her fluids. 15 minutes later, her temperature seemed to have cooled down. And it was just that for a while..

un -Valentine poem... (only send this to your wife if you're asking for a divorce!!!)

Roses are red, Violets are blue, Sugar is sweet and so are you...
The Roses are wilting, the violets dead, the sugar bowl's empty and so is your head.

I see your face when i am dreaming...
that is why i wake up screaming.

My feelings for you no words can tell...
exept for maybe " go to hell"

i love you smile, your face and you eyes,
damn i'm good at telling lies!

my darling, my lover, my beautiful wife,
marrying you really screwed up my life!

What inspired this amorous rhyme?...
two parts vodka, one part lime.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(only send this to your girlfriend if you want to break up!!!) 0_o

10. I admire your strength, I admire your spunk, But the thing I like best, is getting you drunk.

9. Our love will never become cold and hollow, Unless, one day, you refuse to swallow.

8. I bought this Valentine's card at the store, In hopes that, later, you'd be my whore.

7. This feels so good, it feels so right, I just wish it wasn't $250 a night.

6. You're a woman of style, you're a woman of class, Especially when I'm spanking, your big-round-fat ass.

5. Before I met you, my heart was so famished, But now I'm fulfilled. . . SO MAKE ME A SAMICH!!!

4. Through all the things that came to pass, Our love has grown. . . but so's your ass.

3. You're a honey. . . and you're a cutie, I just wished you had J-Lo's "booty".

2. I don't wanna be sappy or silly or corny, So right to the point, let's do it, I'm horny!

1. If you think that hickey looks like a blister. You should check out the one that I gave to your sister!

Coney Dog @ 1901

This horrible, messy looking thing is actually a 'coney dog' or a chicken sausage with meaty sauce on a hot dog bun bought at the 1901 franchise at KLCC.
It's been a while since I had that particular 'hotdog' variant. My youngest daughter loved their 'soakin' ted' or hotdog on stick with barbeque sauce and had pestered me to go and have our 'dinner' there earlier.
Either the staff is lax or the standard has dropped, I do not know which as the sauce for the 'coney dog' left a lot to be desired. That meal for just the two of us cost us about RM13.00.
Any KLites to comment? Has the standard dropped? Or is the staff simply lackadaisical?

Berry's hanging decoration- End product

Bingo.. Pretty little hanging deco. Way to go baby girl. Berry wants to hang it in her room. It is a Chinese character "Choon" meaning Spring , I think.. Might have another meaning but I am lousy at mandarin characters, so hmm.. Unless someone can volunteer and let me know.. :-)

Berry hard at work

We went to the Curve, in Mutiara Damansara, one of Klang Valley's popular shopping malls and as part of the upcoming Chinese New Year activities, they had a children's craft session.
Little Anne, my youngest daughter, also preferably known as Berry, a self confessed artist, insisted she wanted to take part. So she sat down with a dozen other kids and they were given papers, scissors and glue to make a little hanging decoration.
This picture depicts her hard at work..

February

In just a couple of days, we'd be in February. February is special because on the 1st, we Malaysians will be celebrating federal territory day. Then on the 3rd and 4th, the Chinese community will be celebrating Chinese New Year, and welcoming the year of the rabbit.
On February 14th, love birds and romantics will celebrate Valentine's day. On the 17th February, the Chinese celebrates the 15th day of Chinese New Year , also known as Chap Goh Meh.
And for me, my beloved husband of 7 1/2 years will be celebrating his birthday on the 20th, which comes to my posting for today.
My husband. Over Facebook, his old time very close friend and classmate, Kiiath did ask me why I did not blog about him.
So here goes.
My tribute to the one most important person in the world for me...
My husband to me is the most important person in the world, and I hope, I am among his list of important people too. We were married and divorced before and met years after being divorced from each other's ex-spouses.
He is kinda fussy at times, and funny at others. He is a devoted and loving father, and is very dedicated to his children and even his step children(my kids). My eldest daughter looks upon him as her guidance counselor, and that position can't be filled even by her own dad or me.
Our marriage, to me is near perfect as it is based on love and trust and we do not hinder each other's comings and goings. He let's me do the things I want, go places I want to go, most of the times, as long as it's within our agreed upon limits and encourages me to be independent.
He tends to be annoying at times, and I guess, I am annoying too, at times to him.
We've weathered many storms and sunny days but I am glad to say, that after so many years later, my love for him is just as strong as the day we got married.
With him by my side, I am more grounded, stronger and confident then I was before he entered my life.
He is my soulmate and I truly appreciate every year, all the months, the weeks, the days, the hours, the minutes and seconds we have shared together.
If you happen to be reading this, my husband, this is for you. I love you dearly. Thanks for being in my life and for all your patience, love and understanding.

unwell (by matchbox 20)

Have not been feeling too well.. for the past couple of days. Having headache
or migraine, or tension headache... backache and extreme tiredness.... I just hope it's not dengue or something.. However, I am not having fever, so it's a good sign I guess....

All day staring at the ceiling
Making friends with shadows on my wall
All night hearing voices telling me
That I should get some sleep
Because tomorrow might be good for something

Hold on
Feeling like I'm headed for a breakdown
And I don't know why

[Chorus]

But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know right now you can't tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see
A different side of me
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired
I know right now you don't care
But soon enough you're gonna think of me
And how I used to be...me

I'm talking to myself in public
Dodging glances on the train
And I know, I know they've all been talking about me
I can hear them whisper
And it makes me think there must be something wrong with me
Out of all the hours thinking
Somehow I've lost my mind

[Chorus]

But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know right now you can't tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see
A different side of me
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired
I know right now you don't care
But soon enough you're gonna think of me
And how I used to be

I've been talking in my sleep
Pretty soon they'll come to get me
Yeah, they're taking me away

[Chorus]

But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know right now you can't tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see
A different side of me
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired
I know right now you don't care
But soon enough you're gonna think of me
And how I used to be

Yeah, how I used to be
How I used to be
Well, I'm just a little unwell
How I used to be
How I used to be
I'm just a little unwell

Nasi Lemak Bungkus

This morning, I sent my eldest daughter to school for her co curriculum meetings. After that, I stopped by the roadside hawker stall to get some nasi lemak bungkus for my family.
The stall was known to us as Kak Nor's stall (sister Nor). The proprietor there made good kueh, nasi lemak or rice cooked with coconut's milk and served with egg, anchovies, cucumber and sambal (chilli paste) . Other dishes they have were fried noodles, nasi dagang (a popular rice dish made famous from the east coast of peninsula malaysia, usually served with tuna curry), fried rice, doughnuts and so on.
You can get a good meal here for very affordable prices in this day and time. A packet of basic nasi lemak only costs about RM1.20. I added on some cockles sambal, some curry puffs. So a meal for 3 people only came up to less then RM7!! For my overseas pals, that comes to about 2 Euros/ USD , not including beverages.
For people in Selangor interested in the place. It's in Taman seri Gombak. :-)

Surprises in the mail..

I have some friends who think I am just being childish 'swapping' gifts and things with my pals. I have some family members think I am wasting my time and money.
But what they do not know is the euphoria I go through when wonderful gifts like this appear in my mailbox. Today I had the best surprises of all. The feeling is indescribable. Very much to how a small child feels on Christmas morning, seeing all the presents for him or her.
The picture here is my gifts today received from Kally, my Greek penpal. She really made my day with her thoughtful gifts. Thanks ever so much!!! I love it!!

Breakfast today..

I woke up at 4am as usual, and well, decided to make use of my somewhat mediocre culinary skills..
My offerings for today.. Umm.. A traditional ketupat palas (glutinous rice cake), curry chicken and chicken floss..
The "ketupat palas" was bought ready to make (NONA brand) , the chicken floss was also ready to eat, so I only made the curry.. Nevertheless, it was a reasonably filling breakfast for my girls and my hubby.. :-p
