The two Angels...
Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it.
When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, "Things aren't always what they seem."
The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife.
After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest.
When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field.
The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen?
The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused.
The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die.
"Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied. "When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it."
"Then last night as we slept in the farmer's bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead. Things aren't always what they seem."
Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage. You just might not know it until some time later..
Yesterday is history. Tomorrow a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present!
SOMEBODY NEEDS YOU TO SEND THIS TO HIM/HER ===
Never take away anyone's hope

OMG... The things youngsters do for material / branded things!!!
As a mother and stepmother of 2 teenage girls, it is so scary!!! But what makes me wonder is how their parents don't bother where their children is?! I mean, they can ever offer overnight sex and such? What kind of parents never wonder or query and ask where their daughter is or do a spot check on them? Do they just take whatever stories their daughter or son cooks up at face value and never check?
As a parent, I do spot checks from time to time, and trying to be a cool mom at the same time, I allow my daughter a little freedom, but always check to make sure she is where she says she is. I allow my daughter her "boyfriend" too, with a strict warning that they should NOT cross the line. But fortunately, my daughter has a kind of long distance relationship with the current boy she claims as her boyfriend and he seems responsible and a good influence to her. They hardly meet but keep in touch via facebook and sms but I do check from time to time... Parents, please, for heaven's sake, check on what or where your kids are, not just let them do all they want without any monitoring !!!
All for the sake of some branded item or gadget they can show off to their friends, these kids lose all their morals and pride. Is it really worth it?

Memorable quotes taken off #TheNoteboook
If people don't like me, it's mind over matter. I really don't mind, and they really don't matter.
Stop worrying so much, it will all be okay in the end. If it's not okay, then it's not the end.
I LOVE YOU; 3 seconds to say, 3 hours to explain, and a lifetime to prove.
Don't worry! You may think you'll "never" get over it, but you also thought it would last "forever".
A person who is emotionally free has no desire to convince, insist, beg, seduce, manipulate or control.; they are free to love.
Trust that everything has a reason. Look for that reason rather than focusing on the chaos. Keep your mind open to the bigger picture.
Happy relationships don't mean everything's perfect, it just means you've decided to look beyond the imperfections
It's hard to explain something to a person who doesn't want to understand.
Real men don't love the most beautiful girl in the world, they love the girl who can make their world the most beautiful
The person who has truly loved you is the only one who has the strength to accept your mistakes and forgive you.

Something to ponder on....
When you start judging yourself, by looking through the eyes of your parents, husband, friends, or boss, you will end up running around doing more and more in an effort to gain their approval.
It does not take long before you end up feeling exhausted, resentful and ready to give up. Trying to live your life by the expectations of others disconnects you from your own desires. It leaves you feeling empty and unmotivated. The gratification that comes from fulfilling the expectations of others is very little and short-lived. Reclaim the energy and happiness that is rightfully yours!
Be your own judge and live by your own expectations. As you reclaim your potential, you will thrive and feel energized, because you are accomplishing things that are important to you. Start today!

Of dirty tactics and back stabbing...
Lately, there's been a group of agents which belong to one of the top Group Agency Managers in Public Mutual who resort to a lot of dirty tactics, such as stealing other agent's agents and also other agent's clients as well as flirting or even sleeping with clients to get their sales.
These unethical agents however are almost untouchable as their group agency manager happens to be one of the top achievers and kind of have 'diplomatic immunity', at least at the moment, from the company itself which is very unfair to all us other average achievers.
What can I say, some people are just greedy, selfish and will thread on other people's toes or legs just to get what they want. They have no conscience. I hope they choke on their "ill gotten gains" (that's what I think it is..)

One of my favorite dessert...
This particular one I had, whilst having lunch with a colleague of mine from work, at the Cafe Vienna on the 3rd Floor of Suria KLCC. It was sumptious and yummilicious. It costed RM12 but for me, I think it was worth it!!!
And it was a treat from my friend, one I really enjoyed.. :-p

Chocolate blessing... :-p
I had penpals sending me chocolates from Japan, USA and Russia, chocolate tags, and then...
My daughter celebrated her 16th birthday and we got Cadbury chocolates and a huge Toblerone.
Some prized Leprechaun chocs, Milky Moo mints from Ireland from my dear penpal Dee, and some Milka strawberry yogurt and Daim from another dear pal in Germany, Katrin!!! Yummilicious...
My daughter gave me some Ferrero Rocher for Mother's Day and well, in between we had some Kinder Bueno milk chocolates...
My mother in law's brother who came back from Dubai gave us a huge bag of Galaxy chocolates, my cousin who came back from US gave me a box of Hawaiian Host Macadamia nuts coated in chocolate and also a bag of Hershey Hugs chocolates (yeah, there's 'hugs' as well, not just 'kisses'), my sister in law lavished us with chocolates and toffees from Harrod's, Buckingham Palace Souvenir shop, Quality Street and Thornton's.
Oh.. I can imagine how it is like in Willy Wonka's world.. I am so loving it!!! But is it a wonder if we all put on some weight from all these chocolate temptations... :-p
But whatever it is, I am blessed and I do really so love my chocolates.. And thanks to everyone who has indulged me and my girls with all those chocolates!!!!! We LOVE it so much!!! Thanks!!!!
(Picture here shows only some of the chocolate in my fridge.. There is still more then that!!!!!)

Women..
We're the first to get fired.
What we look like is more important than what we do.
If we get raped it's our fault.
If we get beaten we must have provoked it.
If we raised our voices, we're nagging bitches.
If we enjoy sex, we are nymphos.
If we don't, we are frigid.
If we love women, it's because we can't get a "real" man.
If we ask our doctor too many questions, we are neurotic and/or pushy.
If we expect childcare, we are selfish.
If we stand up for our rights, we're aggressive and "unfeminine".
If we don't, we're typical weak females.
If we want to get married, we're out to trap a man.
If we don't, we're unnatural.
Because we still can't get an adequate safe contraceptive but men can walk on the moon.
If we can't cope or don't want a pregnancy, we're made to feel guilty about abortion....
And yet, for lots of other reasons, we are part of the women's liberation movement.... - Anonymous (as quoted in The Torch, 14 Sept 1987)

Sexist madness
Ummm... It's VP said it was time sexual prowess took a front seat in marriage, beyond that of the traditional "good mother or good cook" roles. And that a "good and religious wife should also be good in bed" and that "husbands who was kept happy in the bedroom would have no reason to stray, seek out prostitutes or indulge in other social vices" ... Hmm...
Just a few questions from me...
In the cases of women or husbands with low sexual drives... Will they also supply some aphrodisiacs, I wonder?
How about the men? shouldn't they be trained to learn how to treat their wives right, too..
And hmm.. How do first class prostitutes treat their clients? (Someone I know asked that question as he said he'd never been to a first class prostitute in his life and don't know the difference....)

Quotes from Kung Fu Panda 2

- Lord Shen: The only reason you are still alive is that I find your stupidity mildly amusing.
- Po: Well thank you, but I find your evilness extremely annoying!
- Lord Shen: Who do you think you are, Panda?
- Po: Who do you think I am, Peacock?
- Soothsayer: Your story may not have such a happy beginning, but that doesn’t make you who you are, it is the rest of your story, who you choose to be… …So who are you Panda?
- Shifu: Anything is possible when you have inner peace.
- Shifu: Once I realized the problem was not you but within me. I found inner peace and was able to harness the flow of the universe.
- Lord Shen: How did you find peace? I took away your parents, everything, I scarred you for life.
- Po: See that’s the thing Shen, scars heal,
- Lord Shen: No they don’t… wounds heal.
- Panda: Oh yah… what do scars do? They fade I guess.
- Lord Shen: I don’t care what scars do…
- Panda: You should Shen. You got to let go of the stuff from past – because it just doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is what you choose to be now.

Santa Singh (a joke)
One day the priest was called away for an emergency. Not wanting to leave the confessional unattended, He called Santa (his new assistant) and asked him to cover for him.
Santa told him he wouldn't know what to say, but the priest told him to stay with him for a little while and learn what to do. Santa joined the priest and then followed him into the confessional.
A few minutes later a woman came in and said "Father, forgive me for I have sinned".
Priest: "What did you do?"
Woman: " I committed adultery"
Priest: "How many times?"
Woman: "Three times"
Priest: "Say Two Hail Marys, put $ 5..00 in the charity box, and sin no more"
A few minutes later a man entered the confessional. He said father, forgive me for I have sinned"
Priest: "What did you do?"
Man: "I committed adultery"
Priest: "How many times?"
Man: "Three times"
Priest: "Say two Hail Marys, put $ 5.00 in the charity box, and sin no more"
Santa, a quick learner, told the priest that he understood the job and the priest could leave. Santa was now alone. A few minutes later another woman entered and said "Father, forgive me for I have sinned"
Santa: "What did you do?"
Woman: "I committed adultery"
Santa: "How many times?"
Woman: "Once"
Santa: "Go do it two more times, we have a special offer this week, three times for $ 5.00"

Creating more sins to cover a sin
Even the police officer who has to deal with the gruesome task of collecting the baby's body was sad.
What was the sin of the poor newborn baby to have his very short life ended so violently?
This is not the only case. There are so many other cases of newborns strangled, drowned, burned, left for the ants to bite and sting to death. And why? Just because his irresponsible parents did not want him or her because of the fear of shame.
Oh what would society and people say about them having a child out of wedlock? Oh, what would their parents say?
For heaven's sake, if you've made a mistake, live with it, own up to it!! Why worry what people say? Just do the right thing. There are lots of people out there, too, who made the same mistake but choose instead to face the music and the responsibility. I am not proud of it, but I am just one of them. I was also a teenager, hungry for love and affection, and I too got pregnant by my then boyfriend out of wedlock, but we both chose to face the music and whatever criticism from society or disappointment from our parents and got married and have our daughter. The first few months or maybe the first year was challenging and we probably had to put on a thick face, as we faced not only society but also friends, family and relatives, but we pulled through and our daughter is now 16, a beautiful, independent, feisty and intelligent girl and the pride of our lives and popular among her relatives, friends and such. And I am just so proud of her!!!!
So, if you've already done the sin of having sex outside wedlock and find yourself knocked up or pregnant, please instead of adding murder and taking a life to your multitude of ever growing lists of sins, why not take the responsibility to face up your mistakes or if you really can't, give the child away to a good home instead or put it in one of the baby hatches in the country. There are lots of people who want to adopt and badly want a baby. Don't kill an innocent little soul!!!!

Anne
However, she is absolutely adorable, a joy to have. We could fight and we could argue and she has a terrible temper sometimes, but there's no denying that she loves me almost as much as I love her.
She is my youngest girl, but she tunes in to my feelings better then my older children or anyone else. She would touch my brow and wet a towel to put on my forehead if she thought I was sick.
She would give me a hug and a kiss, and wipe away my tears when I was upset.
She would even shut the TV, take me by the hand and lead me upstairs to my room and tuck me to bed during the times I was knackered and fell asleep while watching TV or something.
She would kiss me and cuddle me before she goes to sleep, and again when she wakes up.
The little things a little 6 year old girl (going to be 7 next month) does for her mom. These are what that makes my little princess so precious to me. She is God's gift to me and I adore her from the top of her head to her little toes.

A day of indulging my little princess
I took her to the Pavilion and we got our tickets for the movie "Pirates of the Carribean - On Stranger Tides". Seeing then we had an hour to kill, we hopped across the road to Starhill to check out the first Sephora store in Malaysia. Anne picked up a small bottle of the body spray "Vanilla Creme Brulee" scented. We then went to Uniqlo at the Fahrenheit and checked it out. They had awesomely cute t shirts and all but none for Anne's size. Then we went for our movie. It was pretty awesome.
After the movie, Anne wanted to go for some ice cream and pulled me into Baskin Robbins 31. Since it was Wednesday, we opted for the promotional junior sundae with Bubble Gum flavour and Vanilla yogurt with caramel ribbons and chocolate turtles.
We then went downstairs to watch the "Justice League live show" the Pavilion mall offering.
After that we went to J.Co to get half a dozen doughnuts and had a bowl of fishball noodles at the food hall. Then we took a stroll back to KLCC via Jln Kia Peng and the KLCC park to source out some possible places for our little upcoming mini gathering...
Anne had a happy day...
