Learn to be mentally tough.....

When you face a setback, think of it as defining moment that will lead to a future accomplishment.

When you encounter adversity, remember, the best don’t just face adversity; they embrace it, knowing it’s not a dead end but a detour to something greater and better.

When you face negative people, know that the key to life is to stay positive in the face of negativity, not in the absence of it. After all, everyone will have to overcome negativity to define themselves sand create their success.

When you wake up in the morning, take a morning walk of gratitude and prayer. It will create a fertile mind ready for success.

When you fear, trust. Let your faith be greater than your doubt.

When you fail, find the lesson in it, and then recall a time when you have succeeded.

When you head into battle, visualize success.

When you are thinking about the past or worrying about the future, instead focus your energy on the present moment. The now is where your power is the greatest.

When you’re in a high-pressure situation and the game is on the line, and everyone is watching you, remember to smile, have fun, and enjoy it. Life is short; you only live once. You have nothing to lose. Seize the moment.

Nada Cinta (SPOILERS)

I got caught up with watching this long, long, long, long, very long winded Indonesian TV serial drama... (YES, LONG because it is 244 episodes long!!!!!!!) So I did my own research and wellllll.......

I might have posted a couple of things on Nada Cinta before.... or NOT... I can't quite recall...

Anyway.....the story goes:-
Faris comes from a rich family and is in a relationship with Rina, a music teacher from an average family. Faris’s father, Tirta, disapproves of their relationship and he forces Faris to marry Nia. Meanwhile, Rina is pregnant and gives birth to a baby girl. Nia’s younger brother then kidnaps the baby and leaves her at an orphanage.
16 years later, Nada, the baby who was left at an orphanage by Nia’s brother, has grown to be a beautiful teenager who loves music very much. She wishes to meet her parents in spite of not knowing where they are. She then runs away to Jakarta. Upon arriving at Jakarta, she almost meets with an accident but is saved by Rina. Unfortunately this doesn’t make mother and daughter close.
Nada then becomes friends with the street beggars and they open a small stall in front of a grand school. As it turns out, Rina is the music teacher there.
Nada then meets with Rina again. Their attraction for music slowly makes them get closer to one another. Meanwhile, Ricky, the school’s most popular boy, is impressed by Nada’s singing. This makes Rasti, Ricky’s girlfriend, jealous and she wishes to destroy and get rid off Nada.
It gets known then that Rasti is the daughter of Faris and Nia. Will Rasti and Nada fight for Ricky’s love as their parents had done before? Or will this make Faris get back with Rina??


For Malaysian viewers who want to know what happen in the end, read on, if not, then get out of here now.........

Most of us watch this because of the young and good looking cast.....like Randy Pangalilla here..... who plays Ricky

and the beautiful Mikha Tambayong....who plays two roles.... of Nada and Cinta (her twin).... (On Malaysian TV it is a bit mixed up... as Nada's doppelganger /twin who turns up after Nada herself was badly hurt in a horrible accident and has disappeared is known as Mikha , as per Astro Ria)

Cinta is in reality Nada's twin sister but even Rina, her mother does not know about it... why? Because when Rina was about to deliver, she went to see a Dr Alvin, who helped her deliver her baby and then knock her out after she has delivered one baby and he stole that baby from her to be sold to an American couple, but sadly or luckily the couple did not want Mikha or Cinta then , because she was sickly, and he was forced to keep her. Then around the same time when Nada was kidnapped from Rina's home, Dr Alvin met her again, comforted her and heard her story about her fear of Nada's father's family who was very rich stealing Nada and he decided to keep Mikha aka Cinta and raise her himself to be a pawn in his plots. Mikha aka Cinta naturally thinks Dr Alvin is her father

This handsome young man is Vito , and is a devoted and good friend of both Nada and Ricky. He would do anything to protect their interest...

These are Alex and Rasti. Alex is just a plain selfish, mean and horrid rich boy bend on getting his own way. Rasti was very mean too. She was dating Ricky before Nada came along and when Rickly fell for Nada, she did her best to try to eliminate the 'competition' but eventually she changed into a better person after learning Nada was her 'father's' daughter. Rasti was Nia's daughter and Faris thinks she is his daughter but in reality.......

The third good looking hero in the story Marvin. (yet to appear on Malaysian TV, I think). He is however Nada's twin's beloved..... (eventually)

In this picture are two villians, Martin (left), Vanna (middle), and Flora (right). Martin and Vanna are horrible, evil people..... Vanna was a hired assasin in some part of the story to try to eliminate Nada. She also had a crush on Ricky thus, all the more reasons to get rid of Nada.. at the time I am writing this, she is incarcerated in the psychotic hospital for attempted murders on Nada.

Flora is Vito's lady love and a computer genius, hacker extraordinaire.....she can check and trace anything on her iPad....

This is Susan, Susan was mean and horrid in the beginning but at the instigation of Nia. She wanted badly to be a headmistress in the school and she needed money. Apparently she was blackmailed and also paid to do so as she had an ailing father she would do anything to protect and cure. But eventually, she broke out of that mould and helped Rina and he school children the best she could.

She however has a horrible son. Nonesoever then Martin.

The evil witch and meanest bitch in these whole series is Nia (Rasti's mother)

She is mean because all this while, she married Faris for his money and he never loved her. He has afterall loved and still loves Rina, his old girlfriend. Nia is bitter and jealous and intend on keeping Faris wealth for her own and for Rasti. Rasti is the product, not of her and Faris (her husband, but at the time I am writing this, Faris is getting a divorce from her....) but of her and....................

*crash boom bang..*

Erwin is interested in Rina and cares for her but has a dark history with Nia. Eventually, he became a little bad and assisted Nia in trying to get rid of Nada, while pretending to help Rina look for Nada. However , he wasn't all that bad as he did SAVE Nada and did his best to keep her alive.

And the end of the series???

Alex and Rasty end up happily together despite their break up. Alex will be a good guy..


Vito and Flora get married.....


Marvin and Cinta will be together too after various obstacles.....

Ricky and Nada will get married and have twins !!!!

Baby Hamsters

My daughters' week old baby hamsters.

a newbie tries her hand or rather her face with SK-II facial treatment essence....

I collected my bottle of SK-II today. I had won it in a contest in the Star Newspaper and I am excited to try it as I have heard so much about it but well, the steep price tag is something else. One bottle of the SK-II facial treatment essence is afterall RM489.00, if I am not mistaken. . .
Anyway, syukur alhamdullilah (thank God) , I have been given a chance to try it out, so here goes. . .wish me the best. . .

A trip to the National Science Centre aka Pusat Sains Negara

I have always passed by the National Science Centre and did not really visit it. My eldest daughter however has been there twice or so , has camped there and is an "adopted child" of the National Science Centre.
However , recently, coming across it's booth at the MATTA fair (local travel fair) and getting a brochure which depicted a lot more then just boring science, I decided to bring my little girl for a visit and it exceeded my expectations. We were a little disappointed that the waterpark was closed on that particular day for reparations but it did not hinder us from having alot of fun...
The garden was awesome, the mini butterfly park, and well, it was really worth more then the RM6 (Adults) and RM3 (kids) I paid for....
Anne had a great time running around in the park, trying to catch butterflies, tadpoles and helping me look out for insects, and she had fun trying her hands on various activities carried out inside the main green shape dome building , and playing .

Kepong Metropolitan Park

This 95 hectares park is a vast area that consists of a 57 hectares lake where anglers will be glad to know that they are allowed to fish here. During the weekends, the huge parking bays are usually taken up and many have to park their vehiclesalong the main road. It is not a good idea to park along the main road as it is illegal and dangerous as there are many oncoming cars driving at quite a high speed. Try to go as early as 3:30pm and you will be able to secure a parking lot. You will see families with young children coming here for a time of relaxation and to unwind the minds. Other facilities that have been built include:


■Children's playground
■An observation tower
■Jogging tracks
■Cycling tracks
■Reflexology facilities
■Toilets
■A boat house
■Shelters
■Car Park
■Open space for Kites enthusiasts

This is actually one of our favourite places to go for an early morning walk during the weekends... It is along the MRR2. It is pretty much packed even early in the morning and during evenings when kite flying enthusiasts come out to fly their kites....

I only have morning pictures at the moment... will post evening kite pictures if and when I go there in the evenings someday soon....

Macro photography....

I have always been extremely fascinated with this and finally I got my own lenses.... and I am just so in love with it... here are some of my personal shots..... =)

Taking the pictures are not as easy as it looks. It takes a lot of focusing and patience as the subject tends to be very flighty (especially the butterflies and dragonflies) as well. But the result.... I love it!!!! Still lots of room for improvement though.....
